“Every athlete is different—your mind, your body, and your emotions make you incredibly unique. You are one of one. Let’s discover the path then that best suits you and your athletic makeup, and let’s journey down that path of success together.”

The Program

Ten Months, One Season — Teachings That Athletes and Coaches Will Utilize for a Lifetime

Conscious Breath and Movement

Session 1 - The Foundation

Everything starts with the breath. Then learning how to breath, and move, with intention and connection. But how do you do that as an athlete, or coach? Where do you begin? What does it even mean?

We begin our journey together by everyone on your team receiving Conscious Athlete Guides and then Conscious Athlete app subscriptions for your entire team and organization. Journals are regularly $15 a piece, and subscriptions are $30 a year. You’ll gain access to both for up to 20 athletes per team—we can always add more teams or athletes as we go.

We’ll introduce the master yoga flow to your team, as well as introducing them to the first stages of conscious breathing, or what’s more commonly known as meditation. This session is done in person.

Who Are You?

Establish Your Identity

For many athletes, and coaches, they have an identity that’s associated exclusively with who they are as an athlete. When they are off the court they feel lost, or confused. We dive deeper into who they are by using two powerful tools — a DISC assessment, and a word association — that helps identify who they are both as an athlete, and in their normal everyday life.

Coaches will receive a 50-page assessment detailing their strengths behaviorally, and areas of growth. And remember, there are no good or bad behaviors, this day and the following exercises are simply awareness tools to help strengthen confidence within, learning how to most effectively motivate and communicate, and establishing who you are without your sport.

The Art of Visualization

See Your Success Before It Happens

How did a 61-year-old man from Australia, with no running experience, win an ultra marathon vs. the best athletes from all across the world? The power of visualization.

Learn this incredible skill (one of Ryan’s favorite sessions) by engaging all the senses as you learn to visualize your success before it happens, Founded on some of the most powerful laws of our existence, the laws of vibration and attraction, athletes and coaches learn how to see and feel their success before it happens, which leads to the success you desire.

Staying Present with Your Performance

The 80/20 Rule

As athletes and coaches we tend to focus on past performances, or what could go wrong in the future. We’re rarely present, we are rarely in the moment. Yet the only play, or performance, that matters in the the one right in front of you.

Learn to shift your perspective, your focus, on to one that is engaged in the right here and right now. Highlight the positives, and yes still learn from the past, but then let them go and focus on the positives and amazing opportunities you have in front of you right here and right now.

We cover this philosophy, and how it ties into the 80/20 rule, in this session.

Two Wolves

Establish Your Good and Bad Habits in Life

As the story goes we all have two wolves that live inside of us as athletes, a good wolf and a bad wolf. Those represent the positives and negatives of your athletic or coaching experience. Who, and what habits feed into the best version of you? Who and what feeds into the pieces of you that you’d like to lessen?

We establish your good and bad wolf in this impactful session, we understand the balance in life in not trying to fight or eliminate either one, and then ultimately find the right balance for you.

Two Arrows

Anxiety, Stress, Failure—The Two Arrows Teaching

When dealing with heavier topics like anxiety, stress, and failure we have a choice. We can experience them one time, the time that it actually happens to us, and then move off those emotions. Or, we can fire what’s known as the second arrow.

The second arrow is ten times more painful, and also completely unnecessary. You have a choice as an athlete or coach, will you fire that second arrow?

A Positive Focus

Finding Happiness, Shifting Your Focus

What we focus on intensifies, but we have a choice. We can focus on the negatives in our life, what has gone wrong or why your life is so challenging right now. Or, you can choose light, positivity, and growth. You have a choice every day as a coach or athlete. Do you choose to highlight the negatives, what’s wrong in your world?

Or can you shift your focus and highlight strengths, the positives, and intensify what’s going right in your life, for your team, and for your career?

Finally we introduce the Sacred Pause, the difference in Reaction vs. Response, to teach you how to process and move off difficult times or conversations, so you are ready to return to a mindset of positivity and success.

Listening and Communicating

The Stages of Empathic Listening and Communication

Did you know that we all communicate, and interpret information, differently? Did you know there are different stages of listening?

In this session we establish the different styles of communication, and the different levels of listening. We’ll also discuss a powerful form of communication known as the Socratic method of communication.

The result?

You and your team will raiser your self-awareness to a level you’ve never before experienced, and as a result your performance as a team will soar.

Love and Self-Love

How to Have a Healthy Relationship with Others (and Yourself)

Learning about the different styles of communication, and listening, transition us nicely into a deeper and healthier understanding of relationships. Those relationships include your partners, and the one you have with yourself.

The reality is we cannot love another person, as a partner or as a teammate, if we don’t first love ourself. You must think, and eventually feel, a love for yourself that is genuine and authentic before you can feel and experience that love with a partner, and your team.

You and your team will learn all about the foundations of a healthy relationship with yourself and others, you’ll find an awareness of internal and external validation in that space, and then find the healthiest and most effective way to find and attract love in your life—a love that starts with you.

Transitions

Your year has come to an end, your team is changing and evolving, and for some of your athletes their career is now over. There are transitions for everyone involved, and as I learned the hard way transitions in life, and out of athletics, can be extremely difficult.

You and your team will get exclusive rights to view the documentary One Last Drop, with Ryan presenting the film, and then taking questions after the viewing from your athletes and coaches, as we then lay out strategies for their transition into their next season as an athlete, the next level of their career, or their new identity in life.
